Boy, 17, stabbed after ‘moped chase’ in posh seaside town – as man, 20, arrested

A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed in a broad daylight attack in a posh seaside town. The teenager is understood to have been involved in a moped chase with the suspect after an altercation unfolded on Saturday afternoon, in Poole, Dorset. The harrowing incident unfolded just 200 yards from the £6million home of Tony Pulis who managed in the Premier League with Stoke City, Crystal Palace and West Brom. Former Liverpool player and manager Graeme Souness also has a home in the area which is close to the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula. Police have since arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, he remains in custody at this time. Neighbours believe the victim was attempting to flee his attacker on a moped before he was stabbed. There was reportedly a trail of blood which led to where he collapsed on the residential street. One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I was working upstairs when I looked outside and saw flashing blue lights. Most read in The Sun “I went outside there was police ribbon on the railings outside my house and I was not allowed to go further. “There was what looked like a moped in the road and what looked like a person. “There is a footpath which runs between my house and next door which ends up at the post office in Lilliput. “The lady next door said she had walked down the footpath and seen a lot of blood. “The victim may have fled up the path then perhaps came off their bike during a chase as there are tree roots on the ground. “I think the stabbing must have occurred in the footpath maybe 50 metres from where it exits into the road and he staggered on.” A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 2.54pm on Saturday that a 17-year-old boy had been found with a suspected stab wound following an assault in the area of Crichel Mount Road. “The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious. He remains in a stable condition in hospital and his family members are aware. “A full investigation was launched into the incident, with enquiries being carried out in the area. “Following enquiries, a 20-year-old man of Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. “He remains in police custody at this time. “Local neighbourhood officers will be conducting reassurance patrols in the vicinity and can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
