Think bedazzled nails are an outdated trend? Think again! This season, we suggest, let your nails join the bling brigade. After all, Taylor Swift and, closer home, Janhvi Kapoor just did that too.The divas recently made a strong case for bedazzled nails in very two different ways. And, might we add, this Y2K stamp of approval couldn’t have come at a better time. Because hello, shaadi season and Diwali parties!Taylor Swift sparkled head-to-toe - well, almost - as she arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday dressed in a Tamara Ralph outfit featuring a shimmering silver skirt. Her stack of rings - including her ginormous engagement ring, a very sparkly diamond-studded band and the showstopping six-in-one massive ring - added oodles of bling to the look, as did her dangle earrings and silver heels. Janhvi Kapoor, too, recently rocked bedazzled nails for the Ambani family’s grand Ganpati celebrations. Her traditional Gujarati Patola saree had everyone talking, and quite possibly sent girls prepping for the festive season into a full-blown ‘how-do-I-replicate-this?’ frenzy. But one little detail that almost went unnoticed (but, of course, we weren’t going to let that happen) was her manicure.She paired the vibrant outfit with colourful stones dotted across her nails, adding yet another dose of festive sparkle to the look. Just get some self-adhesive rhinestone stickers, stick them onto semi-wet nail polish, and finish with a top coat. If you want the stones to last longer, go for gel nail polish and cure under a UV/LED lamp after each step—your first coat, after placing the stones, and then after the final top coat.- Ends
