Asta has come a long way from the loud kid who couldn't use magic, but taking on the Dark Triad is a whole different problem. Dante, Vanica, and Zenon have pushed the Clover Kingdom to the edge, with two of their biggest weapons, Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance, now in enemy hands. The Dark Triad aren't just looking to take over another kingdom, either. Their plan to grow the Tree of Qliphoth could open the gates to the underworld and bring powerful devils into the human realm. For a series that has already thrown plenty of wild magic battles at its heroes, this is a pretty serious escalation. That leaves the Magic Knights with very little room for mistakes. Asta has also gained a new weapon for the fight in his Devil Union form, but mastering it is another matter entirely. With the Black Bulls and Clover Kingdom's strongest Magic Knights heading into Spade territory, the next episode is already set up to push the raid even further. Sending Mereoleona against something that huge is the sort of decision that feels very Black Clover. Her Mana Zone flames give the invasion force a chance to keep moving, but holding off the demon is only one part of the problem. Asta's Devil Union with Liebe could be the difference-maker against the Dark Triad, though the form's time limit makes it a risky weapon. He can't simply stay transformed until everyone is defeated. With the ritual still underway and the strongest fighters stretched across multiple battles, the raid needs more than one lucky breakthrough to succeed. Studio Pierrot Has To Prove Its Animation Consistency In Upcoming Episodes Of Black Clover Studio Pierrot has an epic job with Black Clover's return. The original anime ran for 170 episodes without a proper seasonal break, and keeping a weekly series going for that long was never going to be easy. The result was an anime that could deliver incredible fights one week and visibly struggle the next. With the Spade Kingdom Raid finally getting its turn, consistency matters more than ever. The premiere is a promising start, but the real test comes when the biggest fights kick in. Mereoleona taking on an Ancient Demon is one thing; the battles against Dante, Vanica, and Zenon bring their own demands, with powerful magic, fast exchanges, and several characters getting their long-awaited moments. These are the fights that can make Black Clover look incredible when the animation clicks. Pierrot has already shown what it can do with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, though that production has faced scheduling challenges of its own, with episodes 49 and 50 getting delayed. Black Clover now has a chance to benefit from a different approach to production, provided the quality holds up beyond the premiere. Asta's return has plenty of big moments ahead, and the Spade Kingdom Raid is the material that could remind fans why they fell for this series in the first place.
