BJP names Hardeep Singh Puri as candidate for Rajya Sabha bypoll in M.P.

File | Photo Credit: PTI The BJP on Wednesday (October 28, 2026) announced Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri as its candidate for upcoming Rajya Sabha byelection from Madhya Pradesh.The bypoll, to the seat vacated by former Union Minister L. Murugan, is scheduled to be held on November 12Mr. Murugan, who was Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Information and Broadcasting, had quit the Union Council of Ministers and the Rajya Sabha on October 14.
