Wagner was seen with his arm in a sling as he took his seat for the pulsating Championship derby. And the financier was applauded by fans as they spotted him making his entrance. Wagner, who has ambitious plans to guide Birmingham into the Champions League alongside NFL legend and co-owner Tom Brady, stepped back from duties following the stroke. A club statement read: “Dear Blues fans, We want to share a brief update with you. “Birmingham City chairman Tom Wagner recently suffered a stroke. Thanks to rapid medical intervention, he received immediate treatment and is now receiving excellent care. “We are pleased to share that he is making a good recovery.
