Bigg Boss 20: Mary Kom feels 'embarrassed' for not being able to help Manipur

Boxing champion Mary Kom got candid about her emotional connect with Manipur during a conversation with actor Kanika Mann on Bigg Boss 20. The six-time world champion admitted that she feels helpless and embarrassed over not being able to do more for her home state amid the ongoing conflict.Mary spoke about the situation in Manipur while discussing her achievements and her desire to contribute to the state. She said she had been able to bring recognition to India through her boxing career, but felt she had fallen short when it came to helping Manipur.Manipur has been affected by an ethnic conflict between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities for more than two years, with the violence leading to deaths, displacement and widespread disruption.During her conversation with Kanika, Mary expressed her wish for people in the state to come together and live peacefully. “I could not do anything for the protection and safety of my Manipur,” she said. “There are multiple tribes in Manipur, there should be unity among all. All should live peacefully with love.”The Olympic bronze medallist also spoke about feeling powerless in the situation. “What can I do? I am helpless. I am not a powerful person. I have achieved a lot for our country but I could not do anything for my state. I feel very embarrassed.” Mary added, “Manipur mein itna kuch ho gaya, main kuch nahi kar paayi. Dukh hota hai (So much has happened in Manipur, and I couldn't do anything.
