Big Brother star brands fellow housemate a ‘cow’ after fat-shaming row

So far, Rochelle Rackham, 57, has found herself embroiled in rows with housemate Johanne after comparing her dog to God and with Charlotte after making an insensitive comment about amputees. And in last night’s episode, the mum of three caused further turmoil when she was accused of fat-shaming Millie, 19. Rochelle and Millie had been having a conversation in the sofa area when the younger contestant mentioned she may miss her gastric sleeve surgery if she stays until the end of the competition. ‘A gastric sleeve isn’t always what you think,’ Rochelle replied. ‘A sleeve can stretch again; you can’t just have it and then think: “Oh, I’m going to carry on eating s***” because it doesn’t work like that.’ Millie then replied that she was aware of what the surgery entailed, prompting Rochelle to ask if Millie wanted to lose weight. Rochelle was at the centre of another drama (Picture: ITV) When Millie confirmed she did, Rochelle asked if she’d tried ‘fat jabs’ before, explaining they weren’t a ‘miracle cure’ either. ‘I’m a very confident person, but my weight is one of the things that really gets me down. It really gets to me,’ Millie said. To which Rochelle replied: ‘I’m telling you, that if you put your mind to it…’ A shocked Millie then interrupted Rochelle, explaining she had, but the older housemate would not be deterred. Millie explained she’d tried to lose weight(Picture: ITV) ‘You’re saying you have,’ she explained. ‘I see what you eat…and you’ve got to think: “No, I’m not going to do it.” ‘You are a pretty girl, and you can so easily…if that’s what you want to do, then you can do it.’ Rochelle then asked Millie if she was planning on having another child, and when she said she was, asked: ‘So why would you do any of this before a baby?’ After this, Rochelle then left the sofa, leaving Millie to mouth: ‘What a f***ing cow’ to Harry. Millie seemed annoyed after Rochelle left (Picture: ITV) The interaction certainly caught the attention of fans, with many saying there was no need for Rochelle to behave that way. ‘Rochelle just doesn’t think before she speaks, does she,’ wrote @mikepriestley13 on X. Yesterday, basically mocking Charlotte’s disability and condition, and tonight basically calling Millie fat on national tv.’ ‘Obsessed with Rochelle basically fat-shaming Millie, saying she needs to try harder,’ added @DylanEvans95_. While @howyahlikemenow simply wrote: ‘Christ. This woman has zero emotional intelligence.’ Still, there’s a considerable section of the Big Brother fanbase who want to keep Rochelle in the house, arguing that she adds entertainment value and that this sort of drama is what the series has lacked in recent years.
