Bengaluru: Delivery executive attacked, robbed

The Sadashivanagar police have registered a complaint and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the three unidentified suspects. | Photo Credit: D-Keine A 36-year-old delivery executive was allegedly attacked with a knife and robbed of grocery items and his scooter key by three unidentified men in the Sadashivanagar police station limits in Bengaluru in the early hours of September 2.The injured delivery executive, identified as Bitopan Deka, was admitted to a private hospital, where the police recorded his statement in the presence of doctors before registering a complaint.According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 2.23 a.m., when Deka received an order to deliver grocery items to Sanjeevappa Colony near Mattikere. He was travelling from Bhadrappa Layout towards Mattikere on his electric scooter.When he stopped near the New BEL Road-Sanjeevappa Colony Cross to take a turn, as a car was ahead of him, an unidentified scooter carrying three men, aged around 20, reportedly came and stopped beside him.One of the men, who was seated at the rear, allegedly got down holding a knife, approached Deka and forcibly took his scooter key. He then demanded that Deka hand over the money he was carrying.When Deka refused and told the accused that he would call the police, the man allegedly attacked him with the knife.The accused allegedly took away the grocery items he was carrying along with the key to his electric scooter and sped away.The victim was so shocked that he could not note down the registration number of the accused’s scooter during the incident.The Sadashivanagar police have registered a complaint and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the three unidentified suspects.
