Beer bottles broken, glass panes damaged: Hyderabad pub fight caught on camera

A late-night clash between two groups at a pub in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills led to a police case against 21 people, including Aravind Yadav alias Tillu.The incident took place at around 2 am on Sunday at Kara Kara pub, located on the eighth floor of Daspalla Hotel.According to sources, the altercation began when a young man attempted to pass Aravind Yadav, who was reportedly standing in a narrow space between a wall and a table.An argument broke out between the two, which soon escalated into a physical confrontation. Aravind’s friends allegedly joined the altercation, following which members of the other group retaliated. The two groups reportedly fought inside the pub, allegedly using beer bottles and physical force.Bouncers intervened and separated the groups before taking them downstairs. However, the confrontation allegedly continued in the hotel’s cellar for more than 30 minutes.POLICE FIND DAMAGE AT HOTEL The prolonged disturbance prompted the hotel management and others at the premises to alert the police.By the time personnel from the Jubilee Hills police station reached the hotel, the people involved in the fight had reportedly left the premises.Police subsequently found broken glass panes and damaged tables and chairs at the hotel. Several people were reportedly injured during the clash, while some vehicles were also damaged.CCTV FOOTAGE UNDER SCANNERPolice have seized CCTV footage from the hotel and are examining the recordings to reconstruct the sequence of events and establish the role played by each person involved.The footage is expected to help investigators determine how the confrontation began, how it escalated and what happened after the groups were separated by bouncers.Some of the people named in the case have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning as part of the investigation.PUB LICENSE CONDITIONS BEING EXAMINEDApart from investigating the brawl, police are also examining whether the pub was operating in accordance with the conditions of its licences and other permissions.Investigators are checking aspects including the pub’s permitted operating hours and rules relating to music.Jubilee Hills police registered a suo motu case based on a complaint filed by a police sub-inspector.
