Barcelos 'stable' in hospital after losing consciousness in UFC defeat

Raoni Barcelos has been kept in hospital overnight after losing consciousness in the final round of his UFC Vegas 121 defeat by Raul Rosas Jr.The 39-year-old went down under a Rosas takedown 1:38 into the fifth and did not get up. Medical staff attended to him inside the cage at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas before he left on a stretcher. Rosas immediately signalled to the referee to wave it off. Barcelos is stable, alert and responsive, with full movement. He will remain under medical supervision." Barcelos has been on the UFC roster since 2018 and arrived on a five-fight winning run, headlining for the first time. The Brazilian had been in front on every card with one round left but Rosas Jr took the victory following his collapse from what looked to be a fairly innocuous takedown.
