He’s been learning Japanese since 2024 with the intention of identifying and translating Japanese-language news and bringing it to English-language audiences first, something he’s done countless times. Last week, Baldur's Gate 3's console version received 41 new pieces of content, including an easy way to change the tides in your favor with a cheat menu. The menu came with new classes, subclasses, and cosmetics, plus one more item that deserved more of a spotlight. More Origins, a piece of UGC, lets players recruit almost any of Baldur's Gate 3's eclectic NPCs, and it's now available in the console version of the game. You Can Now Recruit Auntie Ethel, The Netherbrain, And Shar In Baldur's Gate 3's Console Version Baldur's Gate 3's biggest addition in a while, More Origins, is now available on PlayStation and Xbox. Larian clearly saw the potential, vetting and uploading it to the console versions of its 2023 RPG. The mod, downloaded almost 30,000 times on PC, adds nearly 50 recruitable characters to the game. You can download it through Baldur's Gate 3's console mod menu, and it's great. The 45 character recruitable roster features: Akabi, Alfira, Aradin, Art cullagh, Auntie Ethel, Bernard, Cazador, Custodian of the Fallen, Dalyria, Duke Ravengard, Elminster, Gortash, Grym, Halsin, Isobel, Jaheira, Ketheric Thorm, Kith, Losiir, Lucretious, Marcus, Milil, Minsc, Minthara, Mizora, Mystic Carrion, The Netherbrain, Nightsong, Omeluum, Orin, Orpheus, Raphael, Rath, Rugan, Rusk, Sazza, Sceleritas Fel, Scratch, Shar, Strange Ox, The Emperor, Viconia DeVir, Withers, Yurgir, and Zethino. Many of these characters have been meticulously recreated, with the mod's creator teasing, "Raphael builds Soul Pillars anywhere, or Orin unleashes Bhaal's Edict outside her temple." These additions will fundamentally change any playthrough and break the fatigue you may feel from playing with the same party members over and over, no matter how many different possibilities there are. After installing the mod, there are a few steps to follow to ensure the characters stay in your party. The creator implemented a new "Destiny Stone" item to tie them to your party, and made an in-depth video to help you avoid losing them to their pre-written fate. It's one of the most significant pieces of non-Larian content to ever come to Baldur's Gate 3, and minor difficulties aside, its one that's definitely worth installing.
