The trial and plenary session will resume on Tuesday, August 11, Renato Bantug Jr, the Senate secretary and clerk of court, said in an advisory released on Monday morning, August 10. Malacañang also suspended all face-to-face classes in public and private schools and ordered government offices in Metro Manila and several other provinces to shift to work-from-home arrangements on Monday. Citing this order from the Palace, Senate President Win Gatchalian allowed all Senate officials and employees to work from home on Monday. Monday’s proceedings were supposed to mark the 14th day of Duterte’s impeachment trial.
