Awarapan 2 box office Day 8: Emraan Hashmi film nears Rs 170 crore worldwide

Emraan Hashmi-starrer Awarapan 2 has carried its box office run into its second week, maintaining a steady pace after a strong opening. The sequel, which brought back the world of the 2007 film Awarapan, has continued to draw audiences in its first eight days in theatres.According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 5.50 crore nett in India on Day 8, taking its total domestic nett collection to Rs 119 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 141.87 crore.The film has also maintained its overseas run. It added Rs 1 crore to its overseas gross on Day 8, taking the international total to Rs 27.30 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 169.17 crore, putting it close to the Rs 170-crore mark.Awarapan 2 recorded an overall India occupancy of 15.19 per cent on Day 8, with screenings spread across 9,858 shows. The latest figures suggest that the film has retained a sizeable audience as it moves deeper into its theatrical run, particularly among viewers familiar with the original.
