Arizona university hockey coach put on admin leave after report on Canadian player Matthew Mayich's collapse

Arizona State University's hockey coach, Greg Powers, is now on paid administrative leave following complaints from teammates of NHL prospect Matthew Mayich about the school's investigation into Mayich's collapse during a workout. The teammates' anonymous letter claims the review was inadequate, raising questions about the coach's handling of the situation. This incident underscores broader concerns about athlete safety and the thoroughness of institutional investigations, especially as Mayich is a highly-touted prospect in the NHL.
