After season 3's ending, it is hard not to see how Apple TV's Silo is leveling up its sci-fi game in season 4. In season 1, Silo unfolded more as a compelling puzzle-box thriller, making viewers question everything from the nature of the world outside to the hierarchy in the central Silo 18. Silo season 2 turned the series into a survival thriller, following Juliette's struggle to return home. With season 3, Silo followed two timelines. While the present one followed the political chaos in Silo 18, the past gradually revealed the truth about the events that led to the construction of the silos. Before Silo season 3's ending credits started rolling, both timelines collided as the series paved the way for its endgame in season 4. Going into Silo season 4, it is hard not to see how the Apple TV series is all set to double down on its sci-fi elements. In season 3's final moments alone, the show revealed the existence of everything from cryogenic freezing technology to weaponized drones. The closing installment of the franchise will build on these while walking through a full-fledged rebellion and war. Silo Season 4’s Story Will Not Be Confined To A Local Rebellion Since season 1, Silo's present timeline has been confined to the central Silo 18. Season 3 partly took place in Silo 17, but the show is yet to explore the full scope of its outside world. Before Silo season 3 ends its run, it establishes that the outside world is already safe for humans. The people of Silo 17 even managed to briefly go outside before they were shot dead using drones. When Silo 18 gains the upper hand over Silo 1 in season 3's final arc, Juliette realizes they cannot play defense. She realizes that the people of Silo 1 will find a way to attack and destroy them. Owing to this, she encourages her people to prepare for a war against Silo 1. This development suggests that Juliette and her people will try to find a way to leave Silo 18 and attack Silo 1 before it is too late. If Silo 18 ultimately manages to win against Silo 1, they could even set out to liberate the people of other silos. Together, all the survivors could then roam freely in the outside world and set their eyes on rebuilding civilization. After Season 3’s Ending, Silo Season 4 Will Explore More High-Concept Sci-Fi Memory alteration was a significant driver of many story beats in Silo season 3. Juliette's entire opening arc in the season revolved around her struggle to retain her memory after being forced to forget her past through memory-suppressing drugs. In season 4, the show will explore the long-term implications of taking the drug. Daniel will probably avoid taking the drug and realize how he was deceived by the founders for so many years. The more he will remember the truth about the past, the more he will try to help Juliette and her people. His help could prove to be a major turning point for the people of Silo 18. Silo season 3 also revealed how Daniel has avoided aging and lived for over 300 years through cryogenic sleep. This suggests that other founders, too, are still out there and are merely waiting for their turn to take over control of Silo 1. Season 4 will seemingly explore how all the founders periodically wake up from their cryogenic sleep and lead the entire project before allowing someone else to take over. Season 4 will also likely give a better glimpse of everything from the nanobots introduced in season 3 to the weaponized drones that Silo 1 uses to kill people. Silo Season 4 Will Finally Answer The Series’ Biggest Sci-Fi Mysteries Courtesy of Everett Collection The last few episodes of Silo season 3 established that the outside world may not be as toxic as the people inside the silos were previously led to believe. In the final flashback sequence, it was also established that Daniel and Helen were separated and sent to different silos after a nuke went off in Georgia. Given how Stensen and Thurman were seemingly anticipating the nuke even before it went off, it is hard not to believe that the whole setup was pre-planned. As Daniel will retain his memories and look for answers, he will likely learn the truth about the outside world and what actually happened to it. With this, Silo will finally solve its biggest mystery before ending its run for good. In a dystopian future, men and women reside in a vast underground silo governed by strict regulations, believed to shield them from the hazardous world above. The series delves into the complex social order within the silo and the mysteries surrounding their subterranean existence.
