Anthropic looks to secure more data centre capacity: Report

Anthropic has not yet confirmed or denied the reports [File] | Photo Credit: REUTERS In a bid to secure greater data centre capacity, Anthropic is in early-stage discussions to lease up to 1 gigawatt from Stream Data Centers, according to a report from The Information outlet.The developer is majority-owned by Apollo Global Management.The outlet previously reported in June that Anthropic had signed over 12 preliminary agreements to this end, in order to lease U.S. data ​centres with a combined capacity of more than ⁠1 GW.The Claude-maker was also reportedly looking to obtain financial ​backing from Google, in order to cover the lease payments.Anthropic has not yet confirmed or denied the report.
