Alonso extends Aston Martin contract to continue racing in 2027

Fernando Alonso will race on in Formula 1 with Aston Martin into the 2027 season after extending his contract with the team.The 45-year-old will continue to race alongside team-mate Lance Stroll, whose own extended deal has also been confirmed. Alonso, the two-time world champion from 2005-2006, will prolong his career into a record-extending 24th campaign since first racing in the sport as 19-year-old in 2001.
