COSMETIC enhancements are not unusual among Hollywood’s elite, and with the constant flashing of cameras and cash to spare, it’s understandable many turn to the odd ‘procedure’ here and there. However, not everyone has always been completely honest about the work they’ve had done, and many have spent years denying surgery or ‘tweakment’ rumours – only to later confess to have gone under the knife, or needle. Here, The Sun reveals all the celebs who initially weren’t very forthcoming about their plastic surgery – only to confess all later down the line… Lauren Goodger Lauren Goodger kept quiet about her boob job initially, before sharing she’d had the procedure Credit: Rex Features Lauren said she didn’t tell anyone at first about her boob job because it was a ‘private matter’ Credit: Splash News Despite being generally quite open about cosmetic procedures, TOWIE star Lauren Goodger previously denied having a Brazilian bum lift – before later owning up to it. In 2020, she denied having a BBL, claiming it was a work of nature and strict exercise that gave her an enhanced behind. “I’ve always been thick set and I’ve always had a big bum, that’s the way it is,” she said in 2020. “I’ve just got a big a**e! Feel free to do any X-rays or scans or whatever you need to do to prove it, fat transfers don’t last,” she told Closer. But a few years later, she admitted that she’d had a BBL, in 2017. She said: “I always denied having the BBL because I couldn’t be bothered to come out and speak about it. “I don’t even know why – I just didn’t want to. But I know people aren’t stupid and they could tell.” In 2025, she opened up further about her figure enhancing surgeries, saying: “I’ve ruined my looks with surgery – I hate my fake boobs and bum now.” She also had a ‘secret’ boob job in 2014 to go from a 34D to a 34E, but kept quiet on it initially, saying: “I didn’t want to tell anyone at first because it’s a private matter.” Victoria Beckham Victoria had a boob job after the birth of her first son Brooklyn Credit: PA:Press Association The Spice Girl has since had the fake boobs removed Credit: Instagram Victoria Beckham was in her early twenties when she got her first boob job. She went on to spend years denying she had had the procedure, only to later reveal she had – and she was deeply remorseful about it. The Spice Girl, 52, is thought to have gone under the knife after the birth of her first son Brooklyn in 1999, boosting her bust from a 34A to a 34DD. At the time, she denied the rumours, insisting she was “completely natural, except for my fingernails” and claiming her enhanced cleavage was down to push-up bras. But her lawyers admitted in 2005 that she “had in fact undergone breast enhancement surgery”. In 2011, the mum-of-four told Allure: “I don’t have them anymore. I think I may have purchased them.” She added to Vogue: “No torpedo bazookas, either. Gone”. In a letter penned to her 18-year-old self for Vogue, the former singer spoke candidly about her cosmetic surgery, saying: “All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got.” Tyra Banks Tyra Banks previously said she was ‘against’ plastic surgery Credit: Getty The model has since said she thinks women should be able to ‘tell the truth’ about the work they’ve had Credit: Getty Tyra Banks opened up about having a nose job in 2018, when she released her book, Perfect is Boring. The model was subjected to rhinoplasty speculation for many years, and in early interviews she claimed she was “totally against” plastic surgery. But her book told a different story, with Tyra encouraging women to do whatever they needed to to feel confident. The America’s Next Top Model founder wrote: “Fix it or flaunt it — I think women should be able to do both. “There is a boundary line, either you’re super natural or you live at the plastic surgeon. It’s okay to hop back and forth over that line. You want a hair weave? Fine. You want permanent eyebrows? Fine. We as women need to stop judging. “I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching,” she said. “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.” Kylie Jenner Kylie Jenner opened up about how insecure she used to feel about her lips Credit: Rex The reality star has since come clean about having lip filler Credit: Getty The youngest of the Kardashian brood, Kylie Jenner has been inundated with public scrutiny over her alleged cosmetic procedures, and for years she denied getting lip fillers in particular. The reality star later admitted that she did have lip fillers – but she had initially been too shamed to admit it. “I wasn’t even 17 yet,” she said. “What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done?’ What are all those mums going to think about me? “These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence. “I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and up-front.” Around the time, her older sister Kim came out in her defence. She told Access Hollywood: “What you’ll see on the show is Kylie, for a really long time, was overlining her lips. “That was the truth for a while. Then she decided to plump them. Once she decided to plump them, she was still overlining, then sometimes it would look too big. Then she figured out to stop overlining.” In 2023, the reality star also came clean about her breast enhancement during an episode of The Kardashians. “I had beautiful breasts. Natural tits. Just gorgeous. Perfect size, perfect everything,” she said. “And I just wish, obviously, I never got them done to begin with.” Sarah Jessica Parker Sarah Jessica Parker was once famed for her unique mole Credit: AFP Although she initially denied having the mole removed, she later admitted to it Credit: Getty Sarah Jessica Parker, 61, has one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood. The Carrie Bradshaw actress is known many distinguishing features, including her wild wavy hair and a beauty mark on her chin. But the Sex and The City star decided to remove the latter, sparking rumours at the time that she’d sought surgical intervention. She didn’t acknowledge the surgery at first but later admitted in 2010 that she’d had it removed. Speaking on a chatshow, she said: “I didn’t have strong feelings. I didn’t object to it. I just didn’t care for it. And I had about six free days when I could be bloody and stabbed and no one will care and honestly I didn’t think a thing about it and then apparently it turned into mole-gate.” She revealed that sometime after the procedure, she had been approached by a woman who said she was upset she’d ditched her “signature”. “I was like, ‘My mole was my signature? Isn’t my brain my signature? For about the next 15 minutes I couldn’t hear anything because I thought I’d make a terrible mistake. Can they put it back on?” Bella Hadid Bella Hadid had a nose job when she was 14 Credit: AP:Associated Press The supermodel has since said she regrets the decision to have her nose done Credit: AP:Associated Press Bella Hadid possesses a natural beauty that most can only dream of. But even she isn’t immune to the pressure to be “perfect”. The supermodel faced years of speculation over her picture-perfect face, and she has admitted some of her beauty was enhanced by the work of surgeons. During an interview with Teen Vogue in 2022, she admitted that she had a nose job at the age of 14 – a decision she said she went on to regret. The model, who has Dutch and Palestinian heritage, told the fashion magazine that she wished she had “kept the nose of my ancestors” rather than having it fixed. “I think I would have grown into it,” she said. However, she has since maintained that she has never had any filler, or had her eyelids lifted, as some have suspected. “People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling. I’m scared of putting fillers into my lips. I wouldn’t want to mess up my face,” she said in 2018. “I have never used filler. Let’s just put an end to that. I have no issue with it, but it’s not for me. Whoever thinks I’ve gotten my eyes lifted or whatever it’s called – it’s face tape! The oldest trick in the book,” she said. The 29-year-old said that she had long suffered “imposter syndrome”, adding that she felt like the “uglier sister” alongside her sibling and fellow model, Gigi Hadid. “That’s really what people said about me. And unfortunately when you get told things so many times, you do just believe it,” she added. Megan Fox Megan Fox has received several procedures during her career Credit: Getty The actress has spoken a lot about surgery Credit: Getty She’s one of the most desirable celebrities of all time, and Megan Fox has also been subjected to surgery rumours over the years. In 2010, she told Allure she doesn’t encourage the use of cosmetic procedures. However, later speaking on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in 2024, the actress gave a full run down of the procedures she’d had done in the hopes to ditch stigma. “I’m hoping to set people free,” she said. “I had my nose done when I was in my early twenties. That’s something I’ve literally been accused of having six, seven, eight rhinoplasty surgeries which is impossible. Your nose would get necrosis and fall off. “I haven’t had a rhinoplasty since… I want to say 23. It’s been well over a decade,” she confirmed. Disclosing her list of augmentations, the 40-year-old revealed she had a boob job around the age of 21 as well as two additional breast enhancements after the births of her children. Around the same time, she had a rhinoplasty, filler and Botox – and an additional secret surgery she said she was “gate-keeping”. “It was really good and it’s not a known plastic surgery. People don’t even really know about it,” she said. However, she maintained she had “never had a facelift of any kind. So no midface lift, no lateral brow lift”.
