As in other games in the series, you start with only a few characters who team up to go on an adventure, but as they progress, they make friends who join the group. Although you can only use up to four characters in combat, unlocking all available party members broadens your strategic options. To help you navigate this adventure and locate the new allies you need to save the world, we prepared this guide to explain where to find all party members in Final Fantasy Resonance. [Ed. note: The following guide contains light spoilers for Final Fantasy Resonance, so continue at your own risk!] All party members in Final Fantasy Resonance In Final Fantasy Resonance, there are eight party members that you recruit by completing the segment of the main story where you meet them. This means that they are locked behind the campaign, leaving you no alternative but to focus on completing the chapters to add new characters to your roster. Each character belongs to a specific role, which helps you balance support and offense within your party. At the same time, using the right Vision and mastery bonus skills allows you to complement a character's kit. Shifting them to a different role is quite difficult, though, because a character's stat progression is pre-determined, they will inevitably perform better in certain roles. For example, magic attack is Sakura's highest attribute, making her a natural caster. Final Fantasy Resonance is designed to resemble older traditional Final Fantasy games, but when it comes to character progression, you don't need to worry about leveling up characters and who is out of the main party. All characters earn both experience points and mastery points after battle. Here's a list of all the characters in Final Fantasy Resonance and when you unlock them: [Ed. note: If you're viewing this guide on a mobile device, you may have to swipe left and right to see all the information on the tables below.] Character Chapter they join Role Description Rain Chapter 1 - Trailing the Truth Sentinel Rain works as a great physical-damage dealer and your main tank. Lasswell Chapter 1 - Trailing the Truth Breaker Lasswell's skill set focuses on helping you stagger enemies, but he's also great against enemies weak to ice damage. Fina Chapter 1 - Trailing the Truth Medic Fina is not only a natural healer, but the only capable of summoning espers, making her a great hybrid of support and caster. Lid Chapter 2 - Eternal Blue Commando Lid is a simple character who can become the best staggerer since she has access to a powerful physical damage skill. Nichol Chapter 3 - Wardens of the Aquapolis Synergist As the single synergist on the roster, Nichol is responsible for offering some party buffs, but you can also turn him into a powerful healer. Jake Chapter 4 - Banner Oath Commando Jake is a powerful damage dealer with little to offer to the rest of the team. Archwitch Fina Chapter 5 - Scars of Time Saboteur Unlike her white mage version, Archwitch Fina has access to strong dark-based spell attacks as well as non-elemental magic like Gravity. At the same time, she is the perfect debuffer for your team. Sakura Chapter 5 - Scars of Time Commando Like Jake, Sakura is not meant to support the party, but she can hit enemies hard with her elemental magic due to her own ability to buff her spells.
