All Emmerdale spoilers next week as legend returns amid explosive funeral

Sadie is scheming and Robert is at a loss next week in Emmerdale (Picture: ITV) It’s a tough week ahead for Emmerdale villagers and fans alike – we’re just not quite ready to say goodbye to our beloved Jimmy King. And it will be worse if wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) still believes him to be a lying love rat. Sadie (Patsy Kensit) reckons she’s got away with it and sits smugly in the church painted with false grief. But what is this that Nicola has uncovered on the laptop…? Meanwhile, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) returns to the village unexpectedly, having been released from prison. The first person she wants to see is Sarah (Katie Hill), but can the pair truly repair their relationship? And Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) faces up to a recovery after orthorexia takes its grip of her and she is rushed to hospital. Monday October 5 Charity’s thrown when Serena visits her in prison and surprised when she wants to talk about Sarah. Meanwhile, in the village, Thea is trying to talk Sarah out of her blackmail plan but Sarah appears immovable. Later, Thea catches up with Serena for an update on how things went with Charity. Manpreet catches up with Liam regarding her concerns over Gabby, explaining she thinks she has orthorexia and is determined to help her. Laurel is soon troubled when Manpreet chats to her about Gabby’s recent social media posts. Panicked Gabby is in a real state of distress (Picture: ITV) But when Laurel heads to speak to Gabby she can’t find her – unbeknownst to Laurel, Gabby is having a full blown panic attack on the floor behind the counter at the hide. Nicola prepares for Jimmy’s funeral but, still broken by his betrayal, asks Charles to deliver the eulogy. Carl finds a mysterious key in Jimmy’s belongings from the scrapyard but is upset that Jimmy won’t be there for his birthday tomorrow. Later, Sadie hears that Nicola has found backed up voicemails on Jimmy’s laptop and is privately anxious. Wednesday October 7 Charity is staggered when a prison guard tells her she’s going home. Charity is uneasy when Sarah isn’t there to meet her with the rest of the family. Charity asks Sarah for a word in the backroom, and all wait with bated breath. (Picture: ITV) Robert is pleased to overhear a conversation about the Hide’s financial troubles. Laurel is shocked to find Gabby on the floor and tries to establish what brought on a panic attack. Suddenly Gabby collapses and Laurel calls an ambulance. Waking in the hospital a little while later, Gabby gives Manpreet permission to tell Laurel about her orthorexia. Gabby is emotional but seemingly ready to make the first steps towards recovery with Laurel and Manpreet’s support. When Billy learns about Gabby he is apologetic for not spotting the signs earlier. Carl puts on a brave face through his birthday celebrations, whilst Sadie tells Robert about the voicemails and he urges her to deal with it. Soon shady Sadie is on a mission to sneak in and delete them. Rodney walks in and she is forced to cover her tracks. Thursday October 8 Nicola gets a call from Hotten Golf Club – listening in from the corner of the cafe, Robert’s ears prick up and Manpreet recognises the key as the one for Jimmy’s locker at the Golf Club. Robert and Sadie face a desperate race against time (Picture: ITV) It is a race against time as Sadie grabs Robert to rush where they think Jimmy’s money is stashed. In the locker room they’re forced to hide when Rodney and Nicola walk in and it looks like they might be rumbled… Jacob and Sarah make a decision, while Billy offers to visit Gabby in the hospital. Friday October 9 When Carl panics over having lost the memorial presentation he made for his Jimmy, Nicola logs onto the laptop to help, she finds the voicemails and she and Laurel listen to them… Nicola remembers her beloved Jimmy – and has something to say… (Picture: ITV) Meanwhile, the villagers gather in the church, and Sadie makes herself comfortable with a front row seat.
