All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as major character questioned by police

There’s chaos aplenty next week! (Picture: ITV/Metro) A sinister game takes an even darker turn, an attacker is unmasked and a revelation plunges a family into chaos next week in Coronation Street. Jodie Ramsey’s (Olivia Frances-Brown) cruelty seemingly knows no bounds, and after torturing her sister, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), she turns her attention to her dad, Doug (Steve Evets), and sets about destroying his wellbeing. Will an uncharacteristic slip up with her ever expanding web of lies finally expose her sheer malice to the Platt family? When Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) behaviour worries dad Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and step mums Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor), a revelation leaves all three of them reeling. Will the ever-shady Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) take advantage? The person responsible for Eva Price’s (Catherine Tyldesley) grim accident finally confesses to their sins, causing an entire family to rupture, but what will Eva herself to with what she’s learned? Elsewhere, Lucy Parkinson’s (Anya Dewin) increasingly bad behaviour forces Tim and Sally Metcalfe (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor) to come down hard on her. Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) continues to make strides in her recovery, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) continues to struggle with her secret, and Carl Webster’s (Jonathan Howard) worries about his mum, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) grow. Monday, September 28 Eva’s recovering (Picture: Danielle Baguley/ITV) As Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) sits dutifully by Eva’s hospital bed, Debbie and Carl are questioned by Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). He admits he helped her clear up before leaving, but when Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) see his walled stuffed with cash, they suspect he robbed the pub and hurt Eva while escaping. After a tender-headed Lucy swears to Tim that she won’t get drunk again, Tim tells Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) that Richie Parkinson (Nathan Sussex) tried to pressure him into painting an abusive picture of Rachel to the police, and is worried he’s applying the same pressure to Lucy, who, unbeknownst to Tim, is listening in. Meanwhile, Shona returns from work to find Jodie and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) taking over her domestic tasks, and Betsy returns to work at the factory, hoping to practice her sewing before her college interview. Wednesday, September 30 Lucy’s grounded (Picture: Danielle Baguley/ITV) When Tim, on Sally’s advice, grounds Lucy for a week due to her recent behaviour, she’s absolutely incensed. Tim takes Joanie (Savanna Pennington) to the café, but finds a wad of money missing and instantly suspects furious Lucy. Waxing lyrical about an upcoming date, Jodie gets David to give her a blow-dry, before pretending to read a text and bursting into tears, proclaiming she’s been cancelled on. Pulling a bottle of fizz from her bag, she sets about convincing David to join her for a drink. Elsewhere, Carl is taken in for police questioning but pleads innocence over Eva’s attack, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) helps Betsy on her sewing machine and Sam withdraws when Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) tells Nick and Toyah that he’s acting strangely and they try to get him to open up. Thursday, October 1 Sam makes a huge confession (Picture: Danielle Baguley/ITV) Sam finally cracks and admits that he’s been trading crypto currency using a fraudulently gained credit card in Nick’s name, racking up a £6,000 debt, leaving Nick, Toyah and Leanne in utter shock. Jodie’s lies unravel when she returns home with a huge bunch of flowers, claiming them as a gift from her date, but Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) has told Shona that Jodie bought them herself and David confirms that her date cancelled on her at the salon. Later, Jodie rifles through Doug’s stuff and swaps his anti-psychotic medication for paracetamol. Also, Eva’s attacker finally confesses, Carl worries when Debbie forgets his arrest, Christina overhears Tim asking Lisa to look into Richie pressuring Lucy before pumping Tim for information herself and making a massive confession to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), and Lisa accompanies Betsy to her college interview. Friday, October 2 Jodie turns on Doug (Picture: Danielle Baguley/ITV) Doug begins to display symptoms of paranoia and hides a radio in the cupboard, latter complaining that he can hear static. Delighted that her plan is working and David and Shona have noticed his increasing symptoms, she turns the radio up but pretends she has no idea what he’s talking about. Sally and Lucy head to the undertakers to order a plaque for Rachel, but when Sally hands some family photo albums to Christina, she’s overcome and quickly ushers them out. Elsewhere, Idris listens with interest when Nick admits he’ll struggle with the debt Sam’s accrued, a family is blown apart by the revelation of Eva’s attacker and Shona is left burned when Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) accuses her of putting Harper before her, remarking that Jodie never does.
