Alabama Football adds Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to 2029 schedule

Alabama Football will open the 2029 season against Louisiana Tech, the schools announced. The Crimson Tide will play host to the Bulldogs at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, August 25, 2029. A kickoff time and television channel will be announced later. Alabama and Louisiana Tech have met five previous times, with the most recent being the 1999 season. The Crimson Tide technically owns a 3-2 record against the Bulldogs, although the 1993 matchup — a 56-3 win for UA — was forfeited. Louisiana Tech has actually won the last two matchups against the Tide, including its last trip to Tuscaloosa (26-20 in 1997). Louisiana Tech is now one of two games on Alabama’s 2029 schedule. The following week, the Crimson Tide will go to South Bend, Indiana, to take on Notre Dame on Saturday, September 1.
