Its share jumps to 37% for total Paris activity and 58% at its Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) hub. Air France at CDG is the third-largest European hub for flights this year, after Turkish Airlines at Istanbul Airport (its hub is on the European side of the Bosphorus Strait) and sibling KLM at Amsterdam. British Airways at London Heathrow is fourth and Lufthansa at Frankfurt is fifth. As always, other measurements will yield different results. Air France Has Stopped Flying To These Destinations Credit: Flickr Schedule analysis indicates that the SkyTeam carrier has eliminated all flights to these seven airports. The list was identified by comparing the airline's network between January 2026 and October 2026 with what is planned from November 2026 onward. It is the latest examination of the changing networks of European carriers. Others include easyJet, Lufthansa, Ryanair, and Wizz Air. None of the following places have flights bookable in the future, although things could change. For example, Air France ceased flying to Cuba given the country's fuel shortage, blackouts, and wider problems. It is thus possible that it'll return at some point. Multiple airlines from other countries have stopped flying there, including Air Canada and WestJet. End Month In 2026 Market Served From? The elimination of that market was influenced by several factors, including insufficient yields, the high fuel price, the inability to fly over Niger (which extended flights and made them even more costly), and Air France's partnerships with Afrijet and FlyGabon. This is largely because United Airlines will introduce service from its DEN hub to CDG next year. Air France is the third European carrier to cease DEN flights recently, joining Edelweiss in 2025 and Aer Lingus in 2026. Air France arrived in DEN in 2021. It was the second airline to attempt to make CDG-DEN service work, following Norwegian's experiment which existed in 2018 and 2019. Air France's approach to the market was changeable. This involved various things, including whether flights were year-round or seasonal, the frequency, and the equipment. While not a ringing endorsement of the route, it was in an attempt to find out what works best. In the end, the carrier decided on having fewer flights, lower overall capacity, a shorter operating period, along with more economy-heavy equipment. And then United announced flights, and Air France elected not to continue. Given the many changes when it was the sole operator, it'd be surprising if it did. Only Two Places Have Been Added To Air France's Map (For Now) Credit: Michael Take | Shutterstock From November 2026 through next summer, only two new destinations have thus far been revealed. On May 14, 2027, the carrier will lift off from CDG to Nashville International Airport (BNA), with three weekly flights on the A350-900. Air France will be the fourth operator between Europe and BNA, joining Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Icelandair. While Air France has had flights to San Diego International Airport (SAN) on various occasions, they have always been for major conferences, such as the American Society of Hematology. A normal operation has not been available, but that is now changing. Regular service will begin on May 17, with three weekly flights on the A350-900. As with BNA, four European airlines will now serve SAN, with Air France coexisting with BA, KLM, and Lufthansa.
