Actress Selma Blair Reportedly Punched And Bit Delta Flight Attendants On Flight To New York

Actress Selma Blair was arrested at New York JFK Sunday night after allegedly punching a Delta flight attendant and biting another on a flight from Los Angeles. Two crewmembers reported injuries, and one was taken to a hospital. Her representative says she suffered a medical emergency. And while reports describe an attempt to open an aircraft door in flight, Delta says they have no record of that happening. The 54-year-old Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions actress was traveling on Delta flight 938 on Sunday, October 11. Port Authority police met the aircraft at its gate around 11 p.m. Blair was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation. Air traffic control audio has a pilot asking for medical personnel to meet the aircraft for two flight attendants. When asked how many ambulances they need, he initially says none—medical personnel at the gate should be sufficient, then later notes a bloody nose and bite marks. The crew also reports that Blair passenger apparently struck her head against a bulkhead and would need to be checked. Cockpit audio from Delta flight 938 Blair was reportedly restrained aboard the aircraft. TMZ also obtained this eyewitness audio, which it says was recorded as she was being removed at JFK. TMZ further reports that she repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head in the ambulance, then assaulted a nurse at the hospital. The outlet says she’s facing two state assault counts over those encounters, and reports are she’s also facing federal charges involving the flight crew. Blair posted travel photos to Instagram on Sunday, including an aerial view and pictures of her dog Scout. She had another incident aboard a Delta flight in June 2016, returning to Los Angeles from Cancun. She was removed on a stretcher and later said she’d mixed alcohol with medication and blacked out.
