Actor Dylan Sprouse uncovers bizarre secret, calls himself, Cole 'children of incest'

A DNA test, however, sent him down a rather unexpected rabbit hole, with the actor discovering that his parents’ family lines may have crossed generations before they got together. His conclusion? He and his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, are “children of incest” – at least, according to his own joking assessment.Dylan shared the unusual discovery on the October 20 episode of his Wildmen podcast, explaining that his understanding of his ancestry had changed as more relatives turned up in his DNA results."I’ve found a lot of family members, weirdly, who I never met," Dylan said, explaining that his father’s side of the family was fractured. He began contacting relatives and comparing their family histories, eventually discovering that both sides had lived in California during the Gold Rush and had connections through marriage in the late 1800s.The families later went their separate ways before apparently coming together again through his parents. Things became even more curious when Dylan learnt that his father’s uncles were identical twins, too. Until then, he’d believed the history of twins came exclusively from his mother’s side, where there had been seven sets of twins across four generations."I started to get suspicious," he recalled, before realising that the two family branches might not have been as separate as he’d assumed. Dylan called Cole to share the discovery, telling him he’d found some “crazy” information. He also recounted a bizarre family story about an aunt whose shoulder cyst reportedly contained teeth and hair from a twin absorbed in the womb."Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest," he joked.The revelation comes as Dylan settles into fatherhood. He and wife Barbara Palvin welcomed their first child, daughter Sylvie, on September 28. Speaking about her on an earlier Wildmen episode, he described looking at his daughter as "the coolest thing ever".Dylan and Cole rose to fame as child stars on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
