A Calm Irish Farmstay Airbnb, Reviewed (2026)

My boyfriend and I stopped four times on the winding, three-hour drive from Dublin to Ireland’s west coast in County Clare: once for the valley view, once for the Barack Obama Plaza and service station, and twice to gawk at livestock. When we finally reached the 70-acre organic farm just outside of Corofin, though, sightseeing suddenly felt less urgent.From the outside, the two-bedroom farmstay is an unassuming new build tucked into the Irish countryside, with plaster walls, stone accents, and a tiled roof that nod to its rural surroundings. Inside the home, cathedral-height ceilings and generous windows make the open-concept living area feel surprisingly airy and bright. Slipcovered furniture, painted paneling, woven accents, and a wood-burning fireplace give the interiors the lived-in warmth of a Nancy Meyers set—The Holiday, just with far less snow and a few more farm animals.Its location is just as appealing. If your goal is to see as many of the country’s natural wonders as possible, the home puts several of the west coast’s greatest hits easily within reach. The Burren National Park is just 10 minutes from the farmstay, and the seaside Cliffs of Moher about 30; Corofin’s high street is even closer. By evening, we were back at the farm tending to the fire, playing cards around the dining table, and watching the horses outside.The small but well-equipped kitchenette has all the amenities you need for a few days of easy meals, including a two-burner induction stove, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Upon arrival, we found a loaf of organic sourdough and eggs from the farm’s chickens waiting for us, which became breakfast the next morning. One room has a king-sized bed, and the other has two twins—a setup that works especially well for families who want the kids in their own space but still just a few steps away. After New York’s scalding August heat waves, the cool nights and quiet of the countryside were a welcome change—save for the lone donkey who decided that four in the morning was the right time to sound the alarm.The farm setting makes it easy to settle into a slower rhythm before heading out for the day. French doors open from both bedrooms onto a cobbled terrace with seating overlooking the fields—a sweet spot for morning coffee among the horses, sheep, and the aforementioned vocal donkey. The walking path leads past the animals to the property’s three cabins, giving larger groups the option to stay close while still having their own space. Despite the other stays being fully booked during our visit, we never felt short on privacy—I never saw another guest, only a few extra cars in the communal lot.Whatever your Ireland itinerary, this farmstay gives you somewhere to slow down between destinations. Seventy acres of rolling fields and farm animals make staying put tempting. A crackling fire and cozy spots to curl up only add to the pull, even when the best of County Clare is only a short drive away. Come checkout time, leaving might take a little longer than expected. We stopped twice on our way down the stone wall–lined driveway—for the horses, of course, and for one final picture of the verdant landscape.
