Photo Credit: Special Arrangement About 26 lakh of the 33.12 lakh cases of “no-mapping” or “logical discrepancy” have been resolved during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi, said on Saturday (October 17, 2026). “For the ease of electors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are visiting electors for collecting supporting documents from them in cases of Logical discrepancy or Un-mapped cases. As of today, out of 33,12,919 cases of No-Mapping/Logical Discrepancy, around 26 Lakh cases have been resolved by Electoral Registration Officers (ERO)/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO),” the office of the CEO said in a statement. The office of the CEO said that SIR is under progress in Delhi with the objective that “no eligible voter to be left out of electoral roll”.“SIR is also being concurrently audited by 33,226 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by 6 Recognized National Parties in Delhi. BLAs are associated with EROs at every stage and all activities are being shared with the BLAs both at AC & Booth Level,” the statement said. During the SIR process, 13 District Election Officers (DEOs) supported by 70 EROs , 902 AEROs and 14,947 BLOs under the overall supervision of CEO, Delhi & ECI are engaged, as per the office of the CEO. Notices to 33.1 lakh electorsOf the 97.56 lakh names in the draft roll in Delhi, 19.33 lakh were flagged for anomalies while 13.79 lakh were classified as ‘unmapped’. All 33.12 lakh electors who were served notices are part of the draft electoral roll. This means they had duly submitted their filled enumeration forms during the enumeration phase. Of these, 19.1 lakh cases pertain to what are termed “logical discrepancies”.These are not cases of non-mapping or missing linkage, but of electors who had successfully mapped themselves to the previous SIR roll. Despite this self-mapping, the system flagged inconsistencies in their details when matched against the 2002 base roll — such as mismatches in name, age, parentage or other demographic particulars — triggering notices for further verification. The ECI had said in a release on September 26 that electors issued notices would not be called for hearings and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would collect documents from their homes, except in special cases decided by EROs, who exercise final authority over preparation of the roll and decide on all claims and objections.
