This game is set in a post-apocalyptic future, in a world full of monsters and even stranger characters. Your goal is to fight alongside allies to defeat these monsters, uncover mysteries, and ultimately create a safe base where you can all gather and rest. This, however, will put you in a fight for resources against others who are seeking the same thing. As dark and gritty as the open world of Once Human is, there is something fun and goofy about it. The wide customization systems, which allow you to change your character and their weapons, also feature quirky and colorful elements among all the darkened destruction. As a live service game, Once Human constantly receives new updates that expand the available gameplay options, and they all come free. If you’re into games focused on collecting resources, crafting, base-building, and multiplayer mayhem, all within a huge open-world map, Once Human is the game for you. Sky: Children of the Light Developed and published by thatgamecompany, Sky: Children of the Light is a breather for anyone who wants to enjoy an open world for the sake of it. Contrary to the previous games, centered on intense real-time action, the title is a narrative exploration game set on different magical realms, where you’ll explore with other players, unraveling secrets and taking in the gorgeous landscapes presented to you. Sky: Children of the Light is a spiritual successor to Journey, also developed by the same studio. If you’ve played Journey and liked it, you can’t miss this title. It is easily one of the best free cozy games on Steam, and it offers relaxing gameplay as you explore the world without too much pressure and solve puzzles to progress. Ultimately, Sky: Children of the Light is in early access, meaning that it is still receiving updates from the developers based on community feedback and more.
