DeWALT tools are extremely popular among homeowners and professionals, partly thanks to their constant stream of exciting new products, and the company isn't slowing down anytime soon. Recently, DeWALT unveiled several new tools for the second half of 2026, and they'll be worth the wait. If you plan to start new DIY projects later this year, or are a carpenter, remodeler, woodworker, or general contractor, we have some good news. Some of DeWALT's most popular cordless power tools are about to be even better with upgraded XR models of orbital sanders, oscillating multi-tools, and more. If you're on the hunt for new tools, here are a few that are still coming soon. DeWALT 20V MAX XR 6-1/2 inch Plunge Track Saw Perfect for precise cuts Credit: DeWALT While everything announced this month by DeWALT is an upgrade rather than an all-new tool, that doesn't make the releases any less exciting. First up is a new and improved 6-1/2 inch Plunge Track Saw (DCS525ST), which you can get as a bare tool, with tracks, or with an entire track kit for added versatility. DeWALT says this upgraded 20V MAX XR model offers more power and advanced controls than many of its competitors, and we can't forget about the DeWALT kickback brake system. Additionally, it'll come with an 8Ah battery, charger, tracks, clamps, and more. Anyone in the trade, such as a finish carpenter, will appreciate its portability, power, and precision. Unfortunately, the press release didn't announce pricing for any of the kits or an exact release date. A do-it-all tool you'll love Credit: DeWALT Any professional or busy DIYer understands the benefits of a good oscillating multi-tool. While it might look funky on a hardware store shelf, your favorite OST tool is great for sanding, scraping, cutting, grinding, and so much more. Whether you're working on baseboards, cutting drywall, or doing a demo, the all-new DeWALT 20V MAX XR OST (DCS359B) is the perfect tool. There's a good chance you already own an oscillating multi-tool, but DeWALT says this new model is faster and more efficient at cutting through wood, metal, drywall, PVC, and plastic, to name a few. The press release mentions it offers some of the fastest speeds and fewest vibrations in the entire DeWALT lineup, not to mention an aggressive 4.2-degree oscillating angle. DeWALT 20V MAX XR 5 or 6-inch Orbital Sander Smooth wood and edges for every project Credit: DeWALT Additionally, August's announcement of new tools will make woodworkers happy, as they unveiled two orbital sanders in ideal sizes. There's a new 5-inch Random Orbital Sander (DCW211B) and a bigger 6-inch model (DCW230B) that both sound fantastic. DeWALT's new 20V MAX XR Orbital Sanders offer low vibration and fast material removal across a range of finishes and applications. The bigger 6-inch model is one of the fastest handheld options from DeWALT, promising to make projects faster, easier, and with less fatigue. Grab either option at an affordable price as a bare tool, or buy bundles with a battery and charger for a few more bucks once they arrive in the coming weeks and months. DeWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless 16GA Straight Finish Nailer Finish fast, and finish strong Credit: DeWALT Everyone can appreciate a good cordless finish nailer with the power and performance of a pneumatic version, and that's exactly what you'll get with this new 16-gauge straight nailer (DCN220B). DeWALT says it can easily drive up to 5 nails per second, and thanks to its width of only 3.1 inches, it's great for tight spots and cabinetry. Earlier this year, DeWALT unleashed a new Collated Duplex Nailer, followed by an upgraded Brad Nailer in April, and now we're getting a new and improved Finish Nailer for those in need. This model features a tool-free jam release and is DeWALT's most compact 20V MAX 16GA straight finish nailer ever released, perfect for job sites, DIY projects, and more. Be on the lookout for new DeWALT tools coming soon While these four (well, five) new DeWALT tools sound promising, especially for trade workers and woodworking, we still don't have concrete dates or pricing. Everything detailed today is brand new and only listed as coming soon. That said, we should start seeing them hit shelves in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out and stay tuned.
