Sign in to your ScreenRant account Prime Video subscribers have three exciting movies that were released recently on the streaming service to enjoy this weekend. On last weekend's Prime Video movie recommendations, I explored why subscribers should watch films like the Kristen Stewart horror Underwater, the star-studded new romance Love of Your Life, and Ryan Gosling sci-fi cyberpunk masterpiece Blade Runner 2049, with the latter having a sequel on the way. Love of Your Life is both the only Prime Video original movie on that list and the only selection to be trending on the streaming service nationwide. At the time of writing, Love of Your Life is the most popular film on Prime Video's Top 10 Movies list in the United States. The star-studded romance is part of the same list that features two of our new Prime Video recommendations. Just like last weekend's list had a horror movie, I decided to feature another genre entry to continue in the spirit of Halloween. Joining it are an R-rated sci-fi movie with horror elements and a new heist movie that is full of style. These are the best movies to watch on Prime Video this weekend: 3 Masterplan (2026) First up is Masterplan, which stands as the most different movie on the list. The new Prime Video original heist movie was released on the streaming service on October 16. In a week, Masterplan has climbed Prime Video's charts to rank 2nd in the United States right now. Masterplan follows a master thief attempting the heist of the century — steal the Mona Lisa. Led by Stanley Tucci, the heist movie comes with a comedic twist, as the veteran thief employs the help of two young specialists of different fields, only they are siblings, who did not know that, and he is their father. Masterplan is the perfect option for the family on Prime Video this weekend, serving as a fun, light, and fast-paced heist movie with family at its core. 2 Scream 7 (2026) Scream 7 is the only horror movie on the list. The slasher is the latest entry in what is easily one of the biggest horror movie franchises of all time. There is no denying that Scream 7 is a divisive movie, given the behind-the-scenes decisions that led to the star of the franchise's modern chapter, Melissa Barrera, being fired. Wednesday's Jenna Ortega also departed the movie. Still, Scream 7 boasts a phenomenal cast. Scream 7 arrived on Prime Video on October 16 and is already the 6th most-watched movie on the streamer nationwide. Its cast includes returning franchise stars like Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, and more. The movie also added new stars, like Michelle Randolph, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, and others. Scream 7 comes as a thrilling, surprising, and blood-soaked watch on Prime Video. 1 The Bride! (2026) Finally, The Bride! was released on Prime Video this Friday, October 23. This is an R-rated sci-fi movie that should quickly come to fight for the top spot on Prime Video's US chart over the weekend, so every subscriber would do well with keeping it on their radar. Maggie Gyllenhaal directs a star-studded cast that includes her brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, and more. The Bride! follows Bale as Frank, aka Frankenstein's monster, as he gets Bening's Dr. Cornelia Euphronious to resurrect a dead woman so that he can have a wife, birthing Buckley's The Bride. The movie is a gothic romance with some interesting ideas, hammy performances, and a fresh twist to a classic story. Due to those elements, the latest major arrival on Prime Video is a fitting way to end our weekend list.
