The snake took around six minutes to consume the calf, while residents filmed the shocking encounter, with the video now going viral on social media.The incident took place when villagers were working in the fields when they spotted the large python. Alarmed, they moved away as the snake crawled towards the populated area.Its entry into the village prompted residents to bring children indoors and move goats and other livestock to safer locations. The python then caught a nilgai calf and constricted it before slowly swallowing the animal. Several villagers filmed the shocking encounter on their mobile phones. The snake remained at the spot as villagers kept their distance and watched the unfolding scene. Around 42 minutes after swallowing the calf, the python regurgitated it.Here’s the video: The entire episode kept villagers on alert for several hours.
