Without a doubt, the fourth Avengers movie directed by the Russo Brothers absolutely succeeded, and it's no wonder why Marvel Studios pivoted back to the Russo for Doomsday and Secret Wars after pivoting away from their original Avengers 5 plans (Kang Dynasty). "Let's Go Get This Son Of A B****" (Captain America) A truly epic defiance of Cap's "Language!" line in Avengers: Age of Ultron, there was never going to be a better moment for Steve Rogers to curse than at the beginning of Avengers: Endgame and the plan to go after Thanos after Infinity War ended with the Mad Titan wiping out half of all life in the universe. Believing there was still a chance to undo everything by confronting Thanos and using the Infinity Stones, the determination from Rogers is inspiring (and even more tragic once the truth is revealed that Thanos used the Stones to destroy them, seemingly ensuring that his work couldn't be undone). Nevertheless, "Let's go get this son of a b****" is easily one of Captain America's best lines in Endgame, and in the MCU at large. "No Amount Of Money Ever Bought A Second Of Time" (Howard Stark/Tony Stark) One of the best interactions in Avengers: Endgame is when Tony Stark and Steve Rogers travel back to 1970 to retrieve the Tesseract and more Pym particles to make it back to the present, giving Tony the rare opportunity to speak with his late father, Howard Stark. While Howard doesn't know that the strange man he's just met is his future son, the entire interaction between Tony and Howard Stark is truly heartwarming as Tony gets to see his father as a person outside of the complicated relationship they had as father and son. Overall, Tony sharing wisdom from his father to his father is one of the most underrated uses of time travel in Endgame. "As Far As I'm Concerned, That's America's A**" (Ant-Man/Captain America) While the majority of Endgame is pretty serious and intense with the highest of stakes, there are still plenty of great moments for levity. As such, one of the best is during the Time Heist's 2012 mission, where Tony Stark is reminded how Steve's original Captain America suit in the first Avengers movie "did nothing for your a**" only for Scott Lang's Ant-Man to defend Rogers, saying that it looks great and as far as he's concerned, "That's America's a**." Even better, Steve Rogers reiterates that is a** really is America's after he fights and knocks out the version of himself from the 2012 timeline. Without a doubt, it's one of the funniest and most memorable gags in the entire movie. "I Am Inevitable." (Thanos) Thanos' declaration that he and his actions are "inevitable," represent the truly dark confidence within the Mad Titan, believing wholeheartedly that his crusade of cosmic balance was destiny. After 2014's Thanos sees a recording of his victorious future self saying the line, the Mad Titan repeats the phrase at the end of Avengers: Endgame after seemingly recovering the Infinity Stones the Avengers retrieved from the past, believing that his victory was assured once more. While he was ultimately proven wrong, it doesn't change the fact that Thanos' last line before his demise is still one of the hardest lines from any MCU villain ever. "I Went For The Head" (Thor) Thor's biggest failure in Infinity War became one of Endgame's most shocking moments in the movie's first act. Plunging his axe into Thanos' chest in Infinity War, the Mad Titan told the God of Thunder that he should have gone for the head before snapping his fingers. Keeping that in mind, Thor does exactly that, decapitating the Mad Titan that once it's confirmed that Thanos destroyed the stones at the beginning of Endgame, shocking his fellow Avengers and audiences alike as he darkly confirms what he did before leaving Thanos' home. "Whatever It Takes." (Captain America) "Whatever it takes" served as the core line that much of Endgame's initial marketing was built around, especially when the particulars of the Time Heist were largely kept under wraps ahead of the movie's release. Knowing full well that this singular mission to try and bring everyone back could cost them their lives, the line symbolizes just how determined the surviving Avengers were to succeed. Acting as the final punctuation of Steve Rogers' speech before they all travel back to the various periods in the past to retrieve the Infinity Stones, seeing the line repeated by Natasha Romanov's Black Widow before her tragic sacrifice on Vormir makes the quote even more significant/memorable. "I Love You 3000" (Morgan Stark) Tony Stark's relationship with his daughter Morgan gave Avengers: Endgame some of its most heartwarming moments, with "I love you 3000" becoming the emotional centerpiece of that relationship at the movie at large, signifying Tony Stark's reluctance at losing what he'd gained during the Decimation and willingness to give up his own life to protect hers by Endgame's ending. Becoming part of his recorded goodbye played during his funeral, "I love you 3000" encapsulates everything Iron Man was fighting for on the most personal level. "Avengers! Assemble." (Captain America) For years, Marvel Studios refused to let Captain America say the classic Avengers catchphrase, so much so that it was even cut off at the very end of Age of Ultron (director Joss Whedon reportedly didn't even film Chris Evans' saying the full "Assemble" so producers wouldn't change their minds and add in back in). Finally, Avengers Endgame provided no better moment than after all the Avengers arrive from various portals, having all been brought back and ready to fight at Roger's command. With a half-broken shield in one hand and Mjolnir in the other, the fact that Rogers yells "Avengers!" before a calmer and more determined "Assemble" was the perfect delivery we didn't know we needed, kicking off the biggest battle the MCU has ever seen (so far). It very much feels like everything the MCU had been building toward since first assembling the original six Avengers back in 2012. "And I... Am... Iron Man" (Iron Man) Tony Stark's final words in the MCU serve as the most fitting ending possible for his character. When a seemingly victorious Thanos tells Tony that he is inevitable, Tony has already removed the Infinity Stones from the gauntlet to use himself, declaring his most iconic line right before snapping his fingers and wiping out the Mad Titan and all of his forces, an epic sacrifice Marvel Studios will always struggle to top. Not only does the line parallel Stark's final words in the very first MCU movie with 2008's Iron Man, it also carries so much more weight over ten years later to such an impressive degree, giving everything to save the universe as that's what being Iron Man has become. "You Mess With Time, It Tends To Mess Back. You'll See." (Iron Man) Tony's warning to Steve Rogers before the final battle was one of Endgame's more understated quotes, but it's since become a much bigger deal in the light of Avengers: Doomsday releasing at the end of the year. Understanding that changing the past and affecting the natural flow of time doesn't come without consequence, those consequences are seemingly coming for the Avengers in Doomsday and its massive multiversal stakes. This idea of "time messing back" will undoubtedly be hammered home by the fact that Robert Downey Jr is the one playing Doctor Doom in the upcoming MCU crossover, who is seemingly the one delivering those consequences in the next Avengers movie from the Russos.
